Pastor Cal Mears was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He's lived in Montgomery, Alabama (the birthplace of the civil rights movement) since 1993. Pastor Cal received a Bachelors of Art's degree from the Eastern Connecticut State University, in 1972, majoring in Applied Social Relations and English. He also holds a Master of Divinity, from the Trinity Institute. In 2008, Pastor Cal became a "Certified - Life Strategies Coach" - with the Spencer Institute, located in Santa Margarita, CA. Pastor Cal is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors and the American Association of Biblical Counselors (BAACC). A U.S. Navy veteran, he served honorably during the Viet Nam era, with several tours of duty spent in Southeast Asia.

Pastor Cal was called to the ministry in 1990, and has served in a variety of ministerial roles within denominational ministry. In 2005, he was called to form a new and rather unique outreach approach to ministry using the "internet" as a tool for spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Personal Quote:

"Life is not an easy matter to sort through...you cannot live it without facing pain, anger, frustration and doubt; unless you have before you a greater sense of purpose. A sense of purpose that guides you above personal despair, above human frailty, above all kinds of treacheryand coruptness. That sense of purpose for the Christian is the knowledge and security that Jesus the Christ...is Lord!"

Personal Mission Statement:

"Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:1-3)
